Lois Artis, M.Div
Reverend Lois Artis, CPA, MBA, M.Div., has been the chief financial officer for the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. For more than 30 years, Lois has provided leadership to not-for-profit organizations including the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada; North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources; Duke University; University of North Carolina at Greensboro; and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Lois holds a bachelor of music degree from Catholic University of America, a master of business administration from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master of divinity from Duke University.
Lois is also a life-long Disciple, raised in North Carolina as the daughter of a Disciples pastor. She is an active member of SPCC where she leads Prayer Ministry and provides encouragement to young adults who aspire to live for Christ. Her passion is inspiring people to find their gifts and use them to make the world a better place for all. Artis believes the church is at its best when we reach out to the community around us to share the power of God’s transforming love.
