Greater Washington Church Women United
Annual Student Award

A $500.00 award will be presented to a deserving, young woman graduating from high school in 2018.  The purpose of the award is to assist with the cost of continuing education at an accredited college, university or career training program.

Essay & minimum 2.50 GPA are required: The essay topic should be related to “How the award would benefit the Applicant in achieving education and/or career goals and introduces the Applicant to the philosophy of CWU”. The Applicant should visit the CWU website (churchwomen.org) for specific information.

Deadline: The Award Application Package must be submitted to the Local Unit Key Woman, Unit Award Chairperson or Unit President by Monday, March 26, 2018.

AOBA Educational Foundation Offers Commercial Building
Engineer Internship Program, Apply By March 31  

The Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington (AOBA) Educational Foundation is accepting applications for its commercial building engineer internship program! AOBA’s commercial property management members have for years been challenged to recruit, hire, and retain the next generation of building engineers and other building operations employees.  AOBA recently established the AOBA Educational Foundation as a vehicle to create a comprehensive, regional solution to increase the pipeline for commercial building engineers and maintenance staff. Church Mutual Cares Offers Scholarships for Religious Scholars

Shepherd Park Christian Church’s insurer, Church Mutual, is offering 30 scholarships of $5,000 each to students of religion in a graduate or doctoral degree program for 2018 -2019.  Students of all faiths are urged to apply.

For the second year in a row, CM CARES Foundation is offering 50 scholarships of $5,000 each to advanced religious scholars — and we’re asking for your assistance to spread the word!

The CM CARES Religious Scholars program supports full-time graduate and doctoral students who are pursuing advanced degrees and are committed to ministry as a career. Scholars of all faiths are encouraged to apply.

Up to 50 scholarship winners will each receive $5,000 to help pay for tuition, fees, books or other costs of attending school full-time during the 2018-19 academic year.

The application period runs January 5 through April 14, 2018, so students should apply as soon as possible. Winners will be announced in June.
